What is ModAH Collection?

ModAH Collection is an open, curated repository/database of mathematical models that describe epidemiological systems in animal health. Developed with the support of INRAE’s Animal Health division, the platform helps animal health scientific community store, discover, access, and reuse models, thereby fostering transparent and collaborative science.

What can be found in the ModAH Collection?

Models in this repository cover a broad spectrum of animal health modeling, including but not limited to: intra-host/intra-vector modeling, genomic and phylodynamic models, large-scale epidemiological networks and models, domestic/wildlife interfaces, economic and behavioural models, the use of models to evaluate control strategies and guide policy decisions…

Models listed in ModAH Collection are generally described in the peer-reviewed scientific literature but may also be described in preprints or may also be shared directly through public code repositories such as GitHub/Gitlab.

Why contribute to ModAH Collection?

Contributing expands the catalogue of pathogens, host species, modelling approaches represented in the repository. It accelerates research by allowing others to build on validated work rather than recreate models from scratch, and it promotes good scientific practice through clear documentation, versioning, and reproducibility.

How to contribute to ModAH Collection?

To add a model, complete the online form available here. Submissions are curated, so a short delay may occur before public display. Updating an entry is not yet automated but is planned; in the meantime, please contact the repository team for any corrections or revisions. Don’t hesitate to cite ModAH Collection to help others find and benefit from the resource.

This initiative is supported by INRAE (French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment) and the Animal Health department.
